Craft Beer Brewery's London

Today I met up with some friends to visit a couple of craft beer brewery's in East London's Bermondsey Beer Mile. 

First, we visited The Kernels Brewery which is a short walk from Bermondsey Station, under the archways. Kernals is only open to the public on Saturdays between 9am-2pm, which keeps the atmosphere focused on enjoying the taste of the beers with friends over getting drunk with friends. 
On the wall hung a chalk board of the days offerings:

I went for London Sour, because like wine  know nothing about beer so based my choice on the name. Its title of 'sour' was a very acurate description (for once) it was also sweet like a lolly, which after a while, made the taste a bit repetitive. I had a whole pint but I think this drink would be better as a quarter pint serving as a pallet cleanser. 
We arrived at Kernels around 12:30 and this was perfect timing because not half an hour later the line was out the door and there was no tables left. If you wanted to order more than one drink I would recommend arriving around 11 and purchasing ham & cheese from the adjacent shop then commencing your beer tasting. Alternatively Kernels sell all their beers in bottles if the atmosphere isn't working for you.

The second place we visited was another archway establishment, Brew By Numbers. BBNo. is a lot smaller than Kernels, there is a very limited inside drinking area and a few pallets out the front. BBNo. is only open to the public on Saturday's 10am-5pm. I chose the Saison 01|09 beer which was a nice light beer, very refreshing for a beautiful bright autumn day.
